RCMP set up ‘exclusion zones’ for public and media as raid on B.C. camps start - APTN News

The RCMP are setting up exclusion zones and closed roads to the public and media as officers get set to dismantle two camps on unceded Wet’suwet’en territory.

“During the police enforcement operation, temporary exclusion zones and road closures will be established for police and public safety reasons,” said the news release sent out Monday morning that confirmed the RCMP will enforce a court order requested by a pipeline company trying to build a pipeline through Wet’suwet’en territory.

“Those areas will be clearly marked and media/public are welcome to stand at the perimeter, but no one will be allowed to enter the exclusion zones. These zones will only be maintained as long as necessary.”

The raids have been highly anticipated after a B.C. judge granted an interim injunction in December against two check points leading to the construction site for the LNG Coastal GasLink pipeline.

you know, that whole thing when a colonist militaristic police force storms a indigenous encampment, removes it’s people who live there, all for corporate interest, so we can pump more oil out, and accelerate the death of the planet. 

Then once the Cops storm the place, they declare an “exclusion zone” deploy a wifi and cell blockage, AND exclude media. All so no news of it gets out.

You all need to be fucking outraged. 
We live in a police state, and the moment your life gets in the way of making money, you cease to matter.

the other night i tried to make a curry and i got chilli burns all over my face, so i thought to myself ‘hang on, doesn’t milk soothe chilli burns? it does’ and i couldn’t google because i couldn’t see so i just had to blindly feel my way to the fridge and pour out a bowl of milk, and then plant my face in the bowl of milk, anyway at that point the rice cooker went off and triggered a power surge which turned my electricity off, which i didn’t notice at first because i had my face in a bowl of milk and when i did emerge from the dairy prison i thought i had gone blind with chilli burns. so no i don’t really cook much.

All those/ that specific “Spiderverse is a metaphor for being LGBT” post(s) just prove that white people just refuse to relate to black people unless they can make their personality “uwu I’m gay and like memes”. One thing that gets me is how in that one post it equates the spider people talking about their loss with how being lgbt can lead to losing people who don’t except you when ??????? Miles dad and uncle were amongst his biggest supporters and it was the words his dad spoke to him that pulled him out of his rut. If you wanna make wearing the mask a metaphor about identity than realize it has less to do with being gay or closeted but it’s about finding your place in the world, taking risk, being comfortable.

But what am I going to expect from people who erased Jefferson’s existence as Miles’ actual dad and decided Peter B was the necessary father-figure who saved the day

PSA you cannot spray paint anything that will bend, it will all turn to flakes and fall off. That goes for rubber boots, leather boots, foam, pretty much anything that flexes. You gotta use fabric spray paint for fabric, leather paint for leather, etc.

Re-reblog with some extra notes because a lot of people are just like ‘we’re all fucked/we’re gonna die’.

Listen, not all food is equally as contaminable. Some small notes are stay away from delicate greens because they grow on thre ground where the poop is but cannot stand up to rigorous washing OR cooking, which is why stuff like romaine lettuce and baby spinach is a problem.

All other veggies can and should be thoroughly washed, and if you eat a lot of raw veg and want to be safe- cook it. People have shit on cooking food lately with all the raw vegan hype but guess why we humans started to do it? Two main reasons, one is increased nutrient absorption, the other is you don’t get the shits and die as often from cooked food.

Also, meat is not your friend right now. If you are used to eating meat, I would avoid it and switch to eggs, which are sealed and even if the outsides came from a chicken’s ass, the inside is safe. Fish also tends to be cleaner and is always less at risk of pathogens than farm meat but again, be careful.

This is survivable, if it wasn’t there’d be no point to warning you. Y'all will not survive what’s coming if you see every bit of news as proof of your doom.

Forewarned is forearmed. Be safe, be sharp, be helpful.
